I’ve been awarded a Leverhulme Fellowship for next year to write my second book, Object and Affect in the early modern period: Anthony van Dyck’s oil sketches for the Iconography, which addresses many of the themes listed above. I’m also currently putting together a bid for a project that will focus on materiality and the scientific analysis of 17th C panel paintings.
